Super Sad Accident!

UPDATE: Ian's story was shared all over social media! Several individuals reached out to show their support. We have a great AG community!

The picture is of a fellow AG student and senior at Elk Grove High School. Ian applied for and landed a steer spot this year and has been focused and dedicated to working with and caring for this steer from day one.
This steer, unfortunately took a fall in the barn and ultimately, his wounds would not heal. Ian had to make the difficult decision to put the steer down. Adding to the disappointment,  also comes the loss of opportunity to compete in showmanship and sell a quality breed.
It is too close to fair to replace the steer with another, so school staff is working out alternative options.
We are trying to help Ian by putting his story out there and hoping to find some generous FFA and even potential FFA supporters that have a love and appreciation for the commitment to and devotion these youth show toward  these animals.
Sadly, they are taking Ian's steer off the fair's website, since he is no longer available for show or sale.

A Huge Thanks To All EGHS AG Teachers!!

These teachers are amazing! They put in A LOT of time and effort to keep our FFA program up and running for our High School students. A big SHOUT OUT to all the supportive family and friends!! Thanks for all the support you give! To ALL the Booster members, this means YOU too!! Until next time!!

Gettin' Down and "Derby" Clean!!

Pushy li'l gal pushed her way into the wash pen and wouldn't leave until she had her daily soaking!!

This is a tough one...

She's turned out to be the sweetest little Havana any family could have.

It's a sad SAD day... We ALL will miss her terribly.
"Oreo Double Stuffins" was just shy of her 12th birthday and one of the two Ames' 4-H originals.
She won plenty here on earth and now she has graduated to Heaven Hopping.
"Winter" Boy's on the right, he was a tough loss too. All losses are tough for us, but he was the other original. We lost him last year.
Now together again. Hop in Heavenly Peace Guys!
